The Christmas Cobwebs is akin to a modern day fable, wherein a family experiences a tragedy and loses their home to fire. When they move to a small old farmer's house on the outskirts of Chicago, the father's kindness to the most unlikely of creatures allows the family to celebrate Christmas in a special way. Although this story does mention a housefire in the family home, it is appropriate for all school ages.

Good for Grades 3 and up, but others many enjoy as well. A grandfather retells his favorite story to his grandchildren about a Christmas Tree Ship that brought trees to a town across Lake Michigan. Based on historical events with a fictional flourish.
